I took my 2014 Ford Focus to this dealership because the check engine light was on. They diagnosed it as a failed upstream oxygen sensor and quoted me a total of $750 for the repair. I asked for a breakdown, and the woman on the phone told me the part alone was $280, the diagnostic was $250, and I guess the rest was labor. After doing my own research, I found that the part (the O2 sensor) typically costs between $75 and $150, even for a name-brand OEM replacement. No reason it should be marked up to $280. Labor for this kind of repair usually takes less than an hour and costs around $75$120 at most local shops. And many shops apply the diagnostic fee toward the repair if you get the work donewhich didnt happen here. The math just doesnt add up: Part: Should be $75$150, not $280 Diagnostic: $250 is high, and it wasnt waived or credited Labor: Not clearly explained, but it definitely didnt justify the total In total, this job should have cost no more than $250$300, maybe a bit more at a dealership, but $750 is outrageous and unreasonable. To make things worse, the person I spoke to on the phone was disrespectful and dismissive, like I was supposed to just accept the price without any questions. I felt like they were trying to take advantage of me, and I left feeling completely disrespected and frustrated. I do not recommend this dealership. If you go here, do your research first and dont be afraid to ask questions. I wont be coming back.
